New routine, same stress…

Posted in Life and happenings on December 15, 2009 by naziah

Sometimes, it’s even harder…

I don’t like to whine. I HATE whiny people. But I guess once in a while, letting it go is good for your health.

I haven’t been sleeping well. I dunno why. Maybe because it’s not my own cosy little cave. Maybe because Abu’s not here with me. Or maybe because I have no cats sleeping around me. Damn those furry little devils! I miss them… I even miss my ikan laga. SIGH!

Ok… Enough with the whining.

So how are everyone doing? KL people missed me yet???? Us? We are fine. The kids are adjusting well. They seem to enjoy being able to sit outside and play all day. They are also adjusting to having more people around them.

Me? I wake up 5.30am everyday. Some days I’ll sambung tidur after sembahyang Subuh, but most of the days, I’ll be wide awake, contemplating whether or not I should bring the kids out to the beach that morning. No, we haven’t been to the beach yet. I’ve been tied up with trying to get the businesses running. Nasi Lemak is 95% done. Tomorrow we’ll be doing a test run and InsyaAllah on 17th, we’ll be open for business. Woohoo!!!!!! As for Ms Read, we are still waiting for a few stuff to arrive from KL. we haven’t got a date set yet for opening. We hope to open before January, but if it’s impossible (since most of the set up staff might be on leave), we’ll go for 7th Jan. Other than that, I’m doing well. I haven’t been able to do any quilting or knitting or reading books or even watching DVDs. I’m TRYING to watch Hero as I’m blogging now but it doesn’t see, to work. I’m not concentrating well, because I’m tired and hungry at the same time.

KK’s lifestyle? Totally different from KL of course. When you put a lunatic road rager in a place where most of the people goes below 70km/h, I felt as if my blood pressure is just too low for me to even push the gas pedal. My mom is in Singapore and I had the honour of going the pasar besar to get supply. Still got shocked when the makcik jual sayur said, ‘yang ini, dua ikat $1.50′. Again, maybe because I am used to buying my food supply at Jusco where satu ikat sayur is $1.25. And don’t even get me started on the ikan/udang/sotong/ketam. I’ve never been so happy to see a lot of fresh fish in the same room. Last Sunday, I had brunch with my uncle at Hyatt’s Chinese restaurant, and we went for the Dim Sum buffet, and it cost $45 nett, I feel like I want to just sit there and stare at the abundance of Dim Sums! I’ve never seen anything below $50 for buffets at a hotel in KL. Having said that, I still miss my hectic life. I miss my friends, especially those who share my ‘intelligent jokes’. Iskiskisk…

Pausing…

… only for a moment or two…

Am very busy with training and setting up. Yes, we are very much settled in at my mom’s place. I haven’t had any rest since we arrived. Saturday was Aniq’s birthday party (Happy Birthday Baby Boy!). Sunday, the mood was ‘total depression’ because I had to send Abu back to KL. Monday until today, training. The rest of the week and next week, preparation for opening the shop. Right now, both baies are sleeping soundly, I have the DVD player and Astro all for myself, without interruptions (mommy! Einstein! – I downloaded Little Einstein on my laptop)… And as of 2 seconds ago, my eyes are really, really heavy…

So, good nite, sleep tite my friends… I should be updating the blog more frequently after this… Maybe after a good massage session…

Sekian!

I’ll be back in KL in January though for my eye check up and also for Abu’s restaurant opening. If we don’t meet up within these few days, we’ll surely meet up in January!

Ok… Need to mandi and go do banking and stuff…

  2. Bayar Franchise Radio
  3. Apply lesen untuk Franchise Radio
  4. Arrange site visit
  5. Arrange training session
  6. Kemas barang di rumah
  7. Makan… Minum… Mandi…

I need a Marc! Who wants to be my Marc????????!!!!

Not easy to handle own business. Nasib baik lah we have excellent experienced Franchisor to help us out.

For now, the shop baru start renovation. But I’ll put up the pictures also for keepsake.

Sekali lagi, aku menjadi mangsa orang-orang yang eksyen.

Yesterday, aku pigi la Coach. Dengan hasrat, mencari wallet untuk Si Abu. Hampir 10 minit aku dalam kedai tu, satu orang pun dia punya sales person tidak datang menyapa. Aku pun terus memanggil, ‘Excuse me, Could you tell me where the men’s wallet are?’ , dengan accent british yang agak-agak pekat (don’t ask why, but everytime I get pissed off, the british accent came out of nowhere). Dan si PENJAGA KEDAI  pun tengok aku atas-bawah dan menjawab, ‘We have a few here and upstairs’, dengan ikhlas x ikhlas.

Welcome to Coach’… Di dalam hatiku, ‘Sialan punya orang! Belum dia tahu aku ni siapa…’. Time to strike back… I went straight to the penjaga kedai and ask “Can you check if you have this bag in any other color in your other boutique?’. Dia yang tengah meng-attend perempuan-perempuan tadi pun terpaksa meminta kawannya mengambil alih customers tu dan terus ke arah telefon. After 2 minutes, dia pun berkata,’Yes, miss. We have this in The Gardens. Would you like to check out the colors we have here?’. Dan aku pun menjawab, ‘No thanks. I’ll head over to The Gardens… I think I’d rather give them the komisyen for this bag than to you. Thanks anyway…’… Dan aku pun keluar dari kedai itu….

Sekian.

I went to Coach and DID NOT BUY ANYTHING!

I guess the urge passes and I am back to normal…

Yesterday, I saw a bitch-fight between 3 women in Subang Parade parking lot. I thought they were talking loudly, but suddenly one of them started pushing the other and they were really on each other’s throat. I didn’t bother to stay and see how it ended (wanted to but didn’t have time… ehehehehehhehe….).

Today, I went some ‘ME’ time, and met up with a good friend of mine for lunch. It is always nice to see faces that I misses very much. Sigh…

Ok lah. Nothing to write actually. B-O-R-I-N-G! I can’t wait for tomorrow…

One of us got married on Saturday. It was her birthday as well… So Selamat Pengantin Baru and Happy Birthday to our beloved Manon…

We drove all the way from KL to Bidor (not Ipoh!) without getting lost despite the obvious issue (that non of us knos the place or have the best navigation sense). It was especially nice to see a lot of familliar faces there. And this was my first Catholic wedding ever. Interesting to learn new things…  I’ll let the pictures do all the talkings.

The last picture I took in March 09

The last picture I took in March 09

Assalamualaikum,

I hope you are doing well up there with God.

I’m having a bit of a gangguan emosi today. Tomorrow is your birthday. And I don’t think I can do anything but cry tomorrow. So I’m writing this today. Because I kno tomorrow my eyes will be puffed up and I won’t be able to see the screen properly.

It’s been a while since I cry. I had a busy day today. Abu and I went to Shah Alam and finally registered our company. Can you believe it? Our own company? If you dunno yet, he’s making and selling his own satay now. Yeay!!! I kno, right? So exciting right? We started before raya but now he ’s really doing it. We should have done it a long time ago so that you could share the excitement. I’m sorry about that.

And if you dunno, we (Ajan and I) are moving to your house. I kno!!! Finally the house will be noisy right? I’m sorry we didn’t do it earlier when you, so many times, have suggested to us. I’m really, really sorry.

The gals are healthy and great. Khadeeja now eats a lot and speaks a lot as well (although half of the time we don’t understand what she’s saying). Ameena is also growing up pretty fast. She’s trying to stand on her own already. Her hair? It is still like that. Very fine and thin. Yes, I put baby oil like you asked me to. It’s ok. She’ll have hair by the time she goes to school. If she doesn’t, we’ll let her wear tudung to school. :-)

Anyway, the reason why I’m writing this up to you is because I want to be the first person to say ‘Happy Birthday’ to you. I kno this is cheating but hey, who cares?! So, Happy Birthday to you in advance. Let it be known that I am missing you terribly and I have all the intention to be a little bit sad tomorrow. I kno you won’t approve on the crying but maybe I’ll cry in the bathroom where no one gets to see.

I will definitely write to you again.

With all my xo’s; Ze Grandzaughter

  • If I’m driving slow (-er than my usual speed lah!) and people behind me start highlighting, I will look at the speed-o-meter, and if I’m well above the speed limit, I will relax and ignore them and let them potong ikut kiri. Why do I need to move? I’m already breaking the speed limit there. What’s your hurry???? Mengejar cita-cita mu yang belum kesampaian is it? Is it? IS IT????!!!!
  • If I’m driving fast and the car in front of me is slow, I will definitely look at the speed-o-meter again. If the car is going slower than the speed limit, the honking and highlighting begins. Followed by the extreme glaring while memotong ikut kiri. Why so slow??? You forgot there’s this thing called ‘FOURTH GEAR’ is it? Is it? IS IT??????

So now you kno, there’s always a way to explain why I do what I do. Not road rage, but plain simple explanation. I do not have temper issue! I certainly don’t need to go to any anger management classes. I have my knitting and sewing to calm me down. All those idiots who drive slow/fast or steal people’s parking can go to hell!!!!!!!

p/s: parking ku di curi lagi… Sigh… Do I look like I’m a helpless damsel in distress? I have a black belt in Taekwondo and I am sooo not afraid to key the car… People never learn that looks are deceiving.

Prologue

Posted in Life and happenings on October 9, 2009 by naziah

I don’t even kno where to begin.

I kno what’s due next but I really have a lot to learn. About running a business… But what I want to do now has got nothing to do with business.

What I want (for now):

  • Read a book.
  • Finish my knitting projects.
  • Start my quilting project.
  • Learn how to jahit baju kurung.
  • Watch all the DVDs I bought.
  • Start chapter 1 of the book Shanky and I plan to write.

Whatever it is that I will or would do, I’m pretty sure I will not be able to do it if I sleep at 9.30pm again tonite… Heeheehee…
