I’m bored…

… With AI.

So no more AI reviews from me for this season. My prediction is that Skylar wins the title. I hope she does because she’s a good singer!

Sigh… I’m bored. Here’s a video of Paul Potts singing Nessun Dorma again… Cry, baby. CRY!

Happy Weekend my friends!

Written In The Stars – Elton John & LeAnn Rimes

One of the most beautiful lyrics I’ve ever encountered. 🙂

I am here to tell you we can never meet again
Simple really, isn’t it, a word or two and then
A lifetime of not knowing where or how or why or when
You think of me or speak of me or wonder what befell
The someone you once loved so long ago so well
Never wonder what I’ll feel as living shuffles by
You don’t have to ask me and I need not reply
Every moment of my life from now until I die
I will think or dream of you and fail to understand
How a perfect love can be confounded out of hand
Is it written in the stars
Are we paying for some crime
Is that all that we are good for
Just a stretch of mortal time
Is this God’s experiment
In which we have no say
In which we’re given paradise
But only for a day
Nothing can be altered, there is nothing to decide
No escape, no change of heart, no anyplace to hide
You are all I’ll ever want, but this I am denied
Sometimes in my darkest thoughts, I wish I’d never learned
What it is to be in love and have that love returned
Happy Monday ya’ll!

Stamps and envelopes

Beautiful stamp from Netherlands!

I’ve been wanting to write about Postcrossing since like a month already but couldn’t get the words right.

I think most of us nowadays don’t frequent the local postoffice anymore. I bet some of our children haven’t even step foot in a postoffice, am I right? No, peeps, it does not mean that we are bad parents. Technology is so advance that the need for a postoffice visit is limited to sending parcels only. Stamps? Why buy stamps when email is free? Well my friends, I’m bringing back stamps and envelopes as a trend this year!

Postcrossing is a FREE project of sending and getting postcards (or letters) from around the world. Some might end up being pen pals and some might end up being in love. All you need to do is register and you are good to receive 5 different addresses for your first ‘homework’. It doesn’t cost anything to register. All you need to buy are the postcards, stamps, and sometimes envelopes. This is a good hobby for those who love getting mails or writing. It’s an excellent training for kids too. My eldest started with only 2 lines (Hello, my name is Khadeeja. I am five years old) to 4 or 5 lines nowadays. It’s amazing progress for a 4 year old kid who just started to learn how to write and read. And their interest won’t stop at writing the postcards only. Designing the postcards is another fun thing to do. My second girl is a pro on freestyling postcard painting.

Flower Garden by Khadeeja, and Tracks by Ameena

So to those who are in need of a hobby, this is a GREAT one. Please do visit Postcrossing for more details on this excellent project.

American Idol 2012 Top 7

Seeing that the judges didn’t save poor pretty boy, I’m guessing they know one of these days, either Jessica or Joshua will be voted out. They are the best singers this season but I foresee Phil and Colton in the finale. I dunno why…

Let’s get on with this week’s performances.

Skylar: She’s a good singer. This week she really showed America she’s gonna be a country diva. This week she earns her grade A from me.

Colton: I’m like a broken record. This dude is so current. He knows what his forte is and sticking to it. Another A from me this week.

Combo 1: My bf singing one of the sexiest song I’ve ever heard… Such a good combination of 2 different voices. Love it.

Jessica: Such an accomplished singer and very professional for a girl that age. This week, she’s getting an A++ from me. Bravo!!!

Joshua: My favorite Bruno Mars song! So refreshing for him to sing something other than a ballad. Loving the pink socks. Most probably the hardest song to sing live ever. Everyone seems to be enjoying it. He ain’t gonna get any grade from me. He’s above everyone else in the contest. Amazing.

Combo 2: I pity Colton. It’s like he’s being forced to sing with this country girl. I feel some notes were pitchy but it was ok.

Hollie: Hamaiiiigaaaad! Her shoes!!! I think she’s going home this week. Her performance is good but because the rest are just so much better in terms of singing and their stage persona. Just a B from me.

Phillip: He shouldn’t smile like that. Another great performance from him. The beginning was a little bit boring but it became addictive after the second verse. However, I’m getting bored of his performances. A B+ from me.

Combo 3: Too LOUD for me, if you know what I mean.

Elise: Sometimes I feel she’s a bit too screechy. But most of the times she’s good. I love her raspy voice. For this performance, I’m gicing her a B+.

I seriously don’t know who’ll be in the bottom 3. I think Hollie’s going home but I might be wrong. This is not only a singing competition, it’s also a popularity contest. So either Hollie or Elise. Elise shouldn’t go. 😦

Top 8 – AI 11

Gwen Stefani is beautiful. And I love you Tony!!!
Anyway, here goes my reviews:

Deandre: Impressive… Didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did. It was an A+ for me.

Elise: Wrong song. She sound screechy and nasally at the same time. She might be in trouble. C+ for me.

Phil: My bf not doing very well. Good but not great as usual. He looked nervous and uncomfortable on stage. Just a B for tonight my dear.

Joshua: Since this is a singing competition, please let him win. A++! Wait, what??? Only 19??????

Jessica: I think she’s trying too hard. She can sing but too much Whitney perhaps? B+ with like 2 or 3 points left going to A from me.

Hollie: She’s sooo petite. The performance was okay but not as good as the rest. C-. She’s going home this week.

Colton: This dude is good. He knows his target audience well. I can foresee this song being in his album. He’s gonna be big. An A from me.

Skylar: Great song! Great performance! A+!!

Clearly, Hollie’s going home. 😦

KRUmania

I’m not doing this alone! So to those KRUmania, this is for you.

p/s: Heheheheheh… I bet you are currently clicking all those KRU/4U2C/Nico punya link eh?

All the small things!

All the small things that I noticed on my way to send K to school:

  • The car in front of ours was ‘SS1234C’. Mine is ‘SAB5678C’. Heh…
  • I noticed that if you are listening to Aerosmith in your car, you need to turn the volume HIGH to enjoy the music. ROCK ON!!!
  • You DO NOT listen to Flightless Bird, American Mouth or A Thousand Years in the morning. Otherwise, you’ll be swooning for Edward Cullen the whole day (damn! Must watch Twilight today).
  • It’s the second day of April already. Where did March went to?
  • Mirror Mirror is good! Snow White is really beautiful.
  • This is why I love Ellen Degeneres and Julia Roberts:

Have a great week!
