The so called ‘New Year’s Resolutions’…

dsc00719.jpg

Where should I even begin on this one? Hmm… Lemme check my entry in 2006…

The year 2006

Can’t remember the first half of the year. We were really, really busy in the office. Second half was stressful. Trying for a baby was not easy but patience pay… Alhamdulillah….

The year 2007

3 main events I’m looking forward to:

  • Arrival of baby in Early May (or late April)
  • My sister’s wedding in August
  • MATA Fair in September

2008…

Japan (and most probably Korea too), HERE I COME!!!

So that was 2006… This year:

2007

  • Gave birth… Checked!
  • Sister already married… Checked!
  • MATA fair… Checked!

A lot of good things happen in 2007 actually. New department, finally getting a workstation of my own, no more shift work, Moonlight season 1, I got the whole set of That 70’s show, I discovered ebay (lame… I kno…), went up to Kundasang… Sigh… T’was a good year!!!

For 2008, I’m looking forward to:

  • A lot of important weddings to attend.
  • Trying for baby #2 somewhere in the middle of the year.
  • Deciding on what kind of business I wanna open when I stop working (remember my 3 years plan?)
  • American Idol starts on January 16….
  • Above all, our Tokyo trip in March! Disney Sea, here we come!!!!!!!!

Before we end the year, I’d like to thank all of you for taking some of your precious time to read and share your thoughts here. It’s been a year and as I said, it was a GREAT year.

  • To those who gained, well done!
  • To those who lost, not to dwell in it.
  • To those who prayed and obtained, be thankful.
  • To those who prayed and still waiting, never stop praying. God is great.

Here’s a song that inspired me most this year. From my Abang Jon, Welcome to wherever you are…

Maybe we’re different, but we’re still the same
We all got the blood of Eden, running through our veins
I know sometimes it’s hard for you to see
You’re caught between just who you are and who you wanna be

If you feel alone, and lost and need a friend
Remember every new beginning, is some beginning’s end

Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life, you made it this far
Welcome, you gotta believe
That right here right now, you’re exactly
where you’re supposed to be
Welcome, to wherever you are

When everybody’s in, and you’re left out
And you feel your drowning, in a
shadow of a doubt

Everyones a miracle in their own way
Just listen to yourself, not what other people say

When it seems you’re lost, alone and feeling down
Remember everybody’s different
Just take a look around

Be who you want to, be who you are
Everyones a hero, everyones a star

When you wanna give up, and your hearts about to break
Remember that you’re perfect, God makes no mistakes

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Abu is a year older today…

dsc00688.jpg

… a year wiser perhaps?… Heheheh… And I also realized that it’s been a year since I started this journal… HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to us!!! Some birthday shoutouts for December babies;

Abu, Azwan, Wegra, Marina… Who else? Sorry if I left out your names. Not intentional… Just me being forgetful….

Kundasang trip

dsc00640.jpgdsc00641.jpgdsc00654.jpgdsc00676.jpgdsc00655.jpgdsc00657.jpgdsc00659.jpgdsc00671.jpgdsc00668.jpgdsc00673.jpgdsc00664.jpgdsc00680.jpg

It was amazing. Unfortunately, the weather was not good so we didn’t get to see Gunung Kinabalu and her majestic self. See the fourth picture? All white and cloudy? That’s because it WAS white and cloudy. Kabus terlalu tebal until we couldn’t see anything outside the car. I am most definitely going there again and I’m planning to go and panjat Kinabalu (yeah right…).

So we missed our flight…

We did… We missed our flight back to KK on the 19th Dec… Our usual airport limo can’t pick us up so he asked his friend to fetch us. The guy did not come and Abu decided to drive to LCCT, leave the car there and get either Nazry (me cousin) or Azmi (me brader in law) to get the car there. We didn’t make it on time due to heavy rain, hence heavier traffic. I’m bloody disappointed with Air Asia. We reached there around 20 mins before the flight and they claimed that the gate was already closed. The flight was definitely delayed due to heavy rain. I was looking at the flight info board before we went back home, and it was almost 30 mins past the actual departing time, and it showed that the flight was just BOARDING…

It’s okay… Itulah korban hari raya tahun ni… heh… We decided to take another flight the next day. Nasib baik ada seat. All flights were fully booked until Saturday. Nasib baik ada rezeki…

Today, after a few thousand promises, we finally went up to Kundasang. Unfortunately, the weather was not good so we didn’t get to see Gunung Kinabalu… Sob..Sob…Sob… I’ll put up pictures later…

It’s been awhile since I update her progress. So here goes;

  • Eats anything you put in her mouth.
  • Say ‘omma’ when she cries, say ‘baba’ when she’s happy, and say ‘mammam’ when she’s hungry… She still pant when she wants milk…
  • Screams her lungs out when she wants your handphone, you take away the astro remote from her, or when the music from the TV stops playing.
  • Almost seating upright without any support.
  • Crawl like a caterpillar… Not crawling la… More of mengensot…
  • Sleeps around 10pm, and wakes up around 5am.
  • Refuse to sleep with any blanket around her.
  • Refuse to wear shoes… I think this one she got it from me…

The playlist

ply.jpg

 Apart from those jiwang songs, am currently repeating these songs every hour;

  • Buses and trains by Bachelor Girl
  • Surrender by Cheap Trick
  • Just my imagination by Gwyneth Paltrow & Babyface
  • You don’t see me by Kay Hanley
  • Wordplay by Jason Mraz
  • Stay Away by L’Arc~en~Ciel
  • Fantasia bulan madu by Search

I’ve been trying to sing Wordplay (even got the lyrics on my desktop in case I suddenly want to sing it). Damn hard song! I can sing any Korean song better than this song. Anybody could sing this song, I’ll give you 20 sen… That’s all that I could spare for now (since gaji masuk awal this month and most probably by first week of January I’ll be eating Maggi until gaji again…).

Coming up… My collections of wasted new year’s resolutions…

Back to work… For 2 days only…

dsc00614.jpg

Look at that… Very hardworking… Full of concentration, as well as full of s**t… Heheheh… After a week of pain, here’s what I observed:

  • More work to finish in 2 days time before I go back KK
  • My secret santa gift for my department.
  • My taste for coffee.
  • I’m never eating porridge again until Q2 of next year!
  • I don’t like ice-cream… True… Very true…
  • Biskut is my staple food now.
  • I no longer need to eat rice everyday.
  • Most importantly, I’ve lost 3kg in a week… Not a good way to do it but nontheless, the impact is excellent!

I will write more once I’m done with my work…

Day 4 – In total zen…

I think in any kind of sickness, the key to ‘happiness’ is not to dwell. When you ignore the pain, it’ll go away in it’s own. That’s what I did. I’m in total zen with the pain. I’ve been eating nothing but porridge for 3 days. If anyone feed me porridge again, I’m gonna have to kill them. In the lights of my zen-ness and to show my rebellious side, I ate maggi this morning. And now… I pay for that… My throat hurts as if I just ate kulit durian. But ya’kno what?! It was worth the pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AJA AJA FIGHTING!!!!
